Gateway Clippers Holdings strives to give back to the community through fundraising. One of the fundraising events that the Company holds annually in August is for the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society is a valuable resource because 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. If a customer makes a donation to the American Cancer Society, they receive an discount on their hair cut. All of the salons in all three Markets make the fundraising event fun and exciting by holding competitions and dress-up days!

How we Train

Chris Ayers is a certified trainer/ recruiter who believes in the power of learning. Here at Gateway Clippers, we strive to be a cut above the rest. One of the many training classes that is offered at Gateway Clippers is Back to Basics. This class goes back to the fundamentals of what makes us great! We go over 7 haircuts and teach the importance of efficiency. You will also learn the basics of customer service and product knowledge. This invaluable training class is taught over two fun filled day sessions.

The Company also provides one on one sessions, virtual learning and skill practicing on mannequins to help our stylists. For our Managers, we offer workshops for development and meetings to encourage reaching our goals.

Cardinals Charity Cuts

Gateway Clippers Holdings dba Great Clips partners holds an annual Cardinals Charity Cuts is one of the various community outreach events we hold in St. Louis. Stylist team up with the Cardinals and volunteer their time and skills by providing haircuts to fans at STL Cardinal games, with all donations going to Cardinals Care. Cardinals Care is the team’s charitable foundation dedicated to caring for kids.
